REEDs and Impact Statements in the FIE (Grapevine Colleyville ISD) - 35932
This half-day session is designed for educational diagnosticians and speech-language pathologists who want to strengthen their evaluation and reevaluation practices. Participants will explore the Review of Existing Evaluation Data (REED) process, focusing on how to determine the scope of reevaluation, justify decisions, and ensure compliance with state and federal requirements. The session will also address how to craft clear, defensible impact and need statements within the Full and Individual Evaluation (FIE). Through case studies and application-based discussions, attendees will practice analyzing data, refining documentation, and making sound eligibility decisions. Participants will leave with actionable tools to improve both compliance and clarity in their evaluation reports. This session is aligned with the Evaluation and Reevaluation components of the TEA-required self-assessment.
