E3 Symposium: Engage, Evaluate, Elevate: Unlocking Executive Function (Virtual) - 35438
This year’s symposium focuses on enhancing evaluators’ understanding of executive functioning in students with disabilities to strengthen collaborative, data-driven recommendations. Keynote speaker Dr. Rebecca Branstetter, The Thriving School Psychologist, will share practical strategies for evaluating and supporting executive functions in school settings. Breakout sessions for all evaluators—diagnosticians, LSSPs, SLPs, and more—will explore how executive function impacts learning and how multidisciplinary teams can use this knowledge to guide evaluation decisions and student supports. This session is aligned with the evaluation component(s) of the TEA-required self-assessment.

Objectives
By the end of the symposium, the participants will be able to define key components of executive functioning and explain their relevance to the evaluation of students with disabilities, apply practical strategies for assessing executive functioning, and develop collaborative recommendations and support plans.
