Teaching with DBQs – Coaching the DBQ Process at the Campus and District Level - 36293
This session equips teacher leaders and instructional coaches with the tools to support DBQ implementation across classrooms and campuses. Participants will learn how to model lessons, facilitate planning and calibration sessions, and support teachers in using DBQs to build inquiry-based instruction. Emphasis will be placed on coaching strategies, building teacher confidence, and aligning DBQ use with curriculum goals and district initiatives.

Teacher - Gifted Talented/Advanced Academics, Teacher - High School (Grades 9-12), Teacher - Middle School (Grades 6-8), Teacher - Bilingual Education Program, Teacher - Elementary (Grades 1-5), Teacher - ESL (English as a Second Language), Teacher - General Education, Teacher - Special Education
Objectives
1. Coaches will learn strategies for modeling, co-planning, and facilitating DBQ instruction.
2. Participants will develop a plan for supporting teachers through observation, feedback, and calibration.
3. Coaches will align DBQ support with campus goals and teacher development needs.
