Dr. Schultz Presents Triangulating Data in the FIE: Ensuring Ecological Validity (IN-PERSON) - 36141
Triangulating data begins during the planning stage of an evaluation. It’s important to remember that an FIE (Full Individual Evaluation) uses a variety of assessment tools and strategies to gather comprehensive information. Any single piece of data has reliability issues; to address this, evaluators should support findings with multiple sources and data points, ensuring a more accurate overall assessment. This session will focus on the reciprocal relationship between test selection, data collection, and conclusions through integrated data analysis, highlighting how each component influences and informs the others to improve evaluation outcomes. This session is aligned with the evaluation component of the TEA-required self-assessment.
