Unlocking Potential: Supporting Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Gifted Learners - 34329
This course equips educators with the knowledge and tools necessary to identify and support gifted emergent bilingual learners. Participants will explore the unique characteristics and behaviors of these students, enabling them to recognize and nurture their potential. Through collaborative discussions and hands-on activities, educators will analyze and create effective learning experiences for culturally and linguistically diverse gifted learners. Teacher - Gifted Talented/Advanced Academics, Teacher - High School (Grades 9-12), Teacher - Middle School (Grades 6-8), Teacher - Elementary (Grades 1-5), Teacher - ESL (English as a Second Language)
Objectives
Presented with the characteristics of gifted emergent bilingual learners, educators will accurately identify the characteristics of gifted emergent bilingual learners.
In a collaborative setting with peers, educators will analyze attributes of and instructional strategies for gifted emergent bilingual learners.
Based on research and best practices, educators will create educational resources tailored for gifted emergent bilingual learners.
