What do I do with all this stuff?! You may have thought this when trying to make sense of your math manipulatives. This six-hour professional development session will focus on making the most of math manipulatives in your classroom. Topics include the most common math manipulatives and how to use them, organization and storage of supplies, instructional design to fit different math topics, how to best manage students while using the manipulatives, and how to use manipulatives with increasing flexibility. Teachers will leave this session equipped to use manipulatives to their full potential. Come to this session ready to practice and plan for use in your classroom! While this session is geared toward lower elementary teachers, all grade levels are welcome, as manipulatives have a place in all classrooms Pre-K-12.
