Itinerant Teachers of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Virtual Networking Meeting Virtual - 35461
This meeting is for Itinerant Teachers of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. Teachers will meet virtually to discuss relevant topics, troubleshoot issues, answer questions, and build capacity in serving children and students who are deaf or hard of hearing. Meetings will allow time for field updates, participant sharing, and staffing questions. These meetings align with the following components of the TEA-required Special Education Self-Assessment: Numbers 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 12, 13, 14, 15, and 19.
Audiences
Teacher - Early Childhood/PreK/Kindergarten, Teacher - Elementary (Grades 1-5), Teacher - High School (Grades 9-12), Teacher - Middle School (Grades 6-8), Teacher - Special Education, Charter School Personnel, Teacher Supervisors
Objectives
By the end of these sessions, participants will be able to:
1) Examine and discuss current evidence-based practices in deaf education to enhance service delivery.
2) Foster ongoing professional relationships, resource sharing, and peer support within the field of deaf education.
