Moving the Needle: Building Strong Writers Through Reading and Analysis (3-12) - 37288

Strong writing begins with strong reading. In this session, participants will explore instructional strategies that help students build deep comprehension before they begin writing. Through a strong reading comprehension framework, educators will learn how to guide students in analyzing prompts, gathering and organizing evidence, and developing thoughtful, well-supported responses. The focus is on moving beyond formulaic writing instruction to create independent writers who communicate ideas with clarity, purpose, and meaningful analysis.
