Winter Wonderland 2026: Snow Place Like This! - 37012
Join us for Winter Wonderland 2026: Snow Place Like This!, an engaging ECC-focused event designed for students who are blind, visually impaired, or Deafblind. Through hands-on winter-themed activities, sensory exploration, social interaction, recreation and leisure experiences, and opportunities for self-determination, students will develop skills aligned with the Expanded Core Curriculum (ECC) while building meaningful connections with peers and professionals. This event supports instruction in multiple ECC areas.

Teacher - Special Education, Braille Transcribers, Paraprofessionals
Objectives
Students will practice appropriate social skills as they explore at least three sensory elements of winter (e.g., snow texture, jingle bell sounds, peppermint scent) through hands-on, accessible experiences; complete at least one fine motor activity involving hands-on manipulation of materials or objects; and participate in at least one recreation and leisure activity by engaging in a winter-themed group or individual activity.
