Ready, Set, Grow! A Cohort for New Complex Access Needs (CAN) Teachers - 37119
This immersive, four-day training is designed for new and novice teachers working with students who have significant cognitive disabilities and/or are medically fragile. Participants must be in their first or second year of teaching these exceptional learners.
Through a combination of face-to-face sessions, online coursework, and active participation in a Professional Learning Community, educators will gain the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to effectively support students with complex access needs. Ongoing training and personalized support will continue throughout the academic year, ensuring teachers feel empowered and equipped for success in their classrooms.
Enrollment is limited to 20 participants.

Objectives
By the end of each session, participants will demonstrate how to set up and organize the learning environment for optimal academic outcomes; develop classroom schedules and communication plans for various students; review and discuss alignment between state standards, curriculum, and local/state assessments; and identify and practice strategies for differentiation and inclusion.
