Transition in the IEP: Best Practices for Secondary Diagnosticians and ARD Managers - 36336
This session is designed to equip secondary diagnosticians and ARD managers with the knowledge and tools necessary to effectively support transition in the IEP. Participants will explore key components of transition planning in the IEP, including age-appropriate transition assessments and functional vocational evaluations, transition goals, agency collaboration, and compliance with state and federal regulations. Through case studies, discussion, and hands-on activities, attendees will gain practical strategies to ensure meaningful and compliant transition plans in the IEP. This session is aligned with the secondary transition and graduation component(s) of the TEA-required self-assessment and SPP Indicators 13 and 14.
