This course provides a comprehensive overview of the transition from Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) under IDEA Part C to Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) under IDEA Part B in Texas. Participants will review federal and state requirements, including transition notification, conferences, evaluation timelines, eligibility determination, IEP development, and SPPI 12 compliance. The training also highlights practical strategies for strengthening collaboration between ECI providers and LEAs and preventing service gaps. Designed for LEA ECSE leadership, administrators, evaluation teams, and ECI staff, this training aims to strengthen IDEA compliance and establish high-quality policies and procedures that support a seamless, child-centered transition from ECI to ECSE.
