CHC Theory, Academics & Common Assessments (Birdville ISD) Virtual - 36038
This session is designed to help SLPs build a stronger understanding of the cognitive and achievement subtests frequently used by educational diagnosticians. Participants will explore how specific subtests measure underlying processes such as memory, processing speed, reasoning, and academic skills, and how deficits in these areas may present in the classroom. The session will highlight practical connections between evaluation data and real-world student performance, supporting SLPs in interpreting results and collaborating more effectively with diagnosticians and teachers. This session is aligned with the evaluation component of the TEA-required self-assessment.
