Cottage Acquisition Scales for Listening, Language, and Speech (CASLLS) - Intermediate Level Training Virtual - 36078
Designed for professionals with foundational CASLLS knowledge, this intermediate-level training offers a deeper exploration into using the CASLLS (Cottage Acquisition Scales for Listening, Language & Speech) for targeted language intervention. Participants will strengthen their ability to interpret language samples, identify complex grammatical structures, and map these to the appropriate CASLLS strands. Through interactive practice and real-world examples, attendees will enhance their ability to use CASLLS for effective goal setting and ongoing language development support.
This session is ideal for speech-language pathologists, educators, and interventionists ready to expand their CASLLS skill set and apply it more confidently in daily practice. Indicators 1, 4, 5, and 7 of the TEA Special Education Self-Assessment will be addressed.

Objectives
By the end of this session, participants will be able to identify parts of speech and where to locate them on the CASLLS; identify and plot a variety of sentence patterns on the appropriate CASLLS strand; identify and plot syntactical structures using the CASLLS framework; analyze language samples and accurately chart the data on CASLLS; and select developmentally appropriate goals and implement them in routine instruction.
