Scottish Rite for Children (SRC) Jet: A Fast-Paced Reading Intervention - 34867
Jet: A Fast-Paced Reading Intervention is an evidence-based dyslexia intervention program specifically designed for students aged fourteen and older who have been identified with dyslexia. Jet, a one-year intervention, provides a comprehensive approach to addressing the core components essential for reading success: Phonemic Awareness, Phonics, Fluency, Vocabulary, and Reading Comprehension. Jet employs a direct, systematic, and cumulative approach to instruction in each lesson.
This session aligns with the dyslexia component of the TEA Self-Assessment.

Prerequisite/Special Notes
Participants must be a Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT) previously trained in SRC Take Flight: A Comprehensive Intervention for Students with Dyslexia. Participant materials for the Jet curriculum from Scottish Rite for Children will be provided by ESC Region 11.
Objectives
By the end of the session, participants will analyze and compare Jet lesson components with the Take Flight program, emphasizing differences in lesson delivery schedules, and apply their knowledge of Take Flight to improve their effectiveness in delivering Jet lessons.
