Scottish Rite for Children (SRC) Turbo Start: A Dyslexia Curriculum for Newly Identified Students - 35414

The Turbo Start curriculum is a nine-week, evidence-based dyslexia intervention designed to provide a jump start for newly identified students of all ages who need comprehensive dyslexia intervention while awaiting placement in an intervention group. Derived from the evidence-based dyslexia curriculum, Turbo Start provides foundational training in the five components of effective reading instruction, including phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, reading comprehension. Each component is taught developmentally using a direct, systematic, cumulative, multi-sensory method of introduction and practice to meet specific needs of newly identified students with dyslexia. This session aligns to the dyslexia component of the TEA Self - Assessment.

Participant materials for the SRC Turbo Start curriculum must be purchased by the participant from Scottish Rite for Children (SRC) prior to the session. Estimated cost of the Build kit is $250.00.Please allow up to 2 weeks for the delivery of materials.
Objectives
Upon completion of the course, participants will effectively implement the five key components of effective reading instruction—phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and reading comprehension—and apply direct, systematic, and multi-sensory strategies to support newly identified students with dyslexia.
