Scottish Rite for Children (SRC) Jet: A Fast-Paced Reading Intervention - 35415

Jet: A Fast-Paced Reading Intervention is an evidence-based dyslexia intervention program specifically designed for students aged fourteen and older who have been identified with dyslexia. Jet, a one-year intervention, provides a comprehensive approach to addressing the core components essential for reading success: Phonemic Awareness, Phonics, Fluency, Vocabulary, and Reading Comprehension. Jet employs a direct, systematic, and cumulative approach to instruction in each lesson. This session aligns with the dyslexia component of the TEA Self-Assessment.

Prerequisite/Special Notes
Participants must be a Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT) previously trained in SRC Take Flight: A Comprehensive Intervention for Students with Dyslexia. Each participant is required to purchase Jet curriculum materials from Scottish Rite for Children. The materials cost is $535 per participant paid directly to Scottish Rite for Children.
Objectives
By the end of the session, participants will analyze the components and delivery for Jet : A Fast-Paced Reading Intervention, and apply their prior knowledge and understanding of Take Flight to enhance their delivery of Jet lessons.
