Marzano's 6-Step Process for Learning Vocabulary for English Learners - 27164
This session is focused on providing teachers of English Learners with the tools they need to intentionally use academic vocabulary in their instruction while giving students the strategies they need to explore, describe, and contextualize academic vocabulary across all content areas. Join us as we explore Marzano's Six-Step Process for Vocabulary Acquisition: 1. Describe Visually 2. Describe in Writing 3. Draw 4. Use Frayer Models 5. Accountable Talk 6. Play with Words. We will also explore digital tools that will allow teachers to use these strategies in virtual classroom settings!
