D/HH Inclusion: Serving Students Who Are Deaf/Hard-of-Hearing in the General Education Setting Online - 33509
This 100% online, asynchronous course is designed for professionals (teachers, administrators, staff, paraprofessionals, etc.) who serve special education and 504 students who are deaf/hard-of-hearing in the general education classroom, in extracurricular activities, and during campus activities. Course topics include the roles and responsibilities of professionals and students, understanding hearing differences, assistive listening devices and technology, accommodations, legal requirements, specially designed instruction, and student self-advocacy. This session aligns with the following components of the TEA-required Special Education Self-Assessment: Numbers 2, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 12.
