Bilingual Dyslexia Evaluation - 26765
This three-hour virtual workshop will provide participants with an overview of best practices regarding the dyslexia evaluation process for English Learners, with an emphasis on Spanish-speaking students. The training will include information on topics such as second language acquisition, the language of instruction models, indicators of speech difference/disorder, indicators of language difference/disorder, referral processes, determination of language dominance, formal and informal data collection, areas of assessment, etc.

Prerequisite/Special Notes
It is recommended that participants have a general understanding of dyslexia and standardized assessments. Participants should be familiar with Chapter III. of the 2018 Dyslexia Handbook, (Procedures for the Evaluation and Identification of Students with Dyslexia).
