Beyond the Battery: Meaningful & Targeted Assessment Practices for SLD Identification (Granbury ISD) - 35179
This session will explore best practices for identifying specific learning disabilities through purposeful and data-driven assessment. Participants will learn how to develop meaningful evaluation plans that align with referral concerns, select formal assessments judiciously, and integrate multiple sources of data—including classroom performance, progress monitoring, and observational information. Emphasis will be placed on task analysis of test items to better interpret student performance and link results to instructional needs. Through guided discussion and applied examples, attendees will leave equipped with tools to streamline assessments while improving clarity and relevance in eligibility determinations.
