PBIS TEAM Cohort 2026-2027 YEAR TWO Virtual - 37214
The mission of PBIS is to build the capacity of schools by adopting a sustained, positive, preventative, and effective instructional approach to school-wide discipline and behavior management. These sessions will provide an overview of the PBIS framework, behavior, and academic Response to Intervention connections, examine effective PBIS team member roles and responsibilities, and identify leadership implementation next steps. PBIS district and campus teams will focus on using data to identify and create guidelines for success as well as school-wide behavior rules, expectations, and positive reinforcement systems.
Participating teams will be provided the following TIER Network training pathways: The Interconnected Schools Framework, Universal Screening, Progress Monitoring, and Decision Making. Teams will complete analysis activities and create district/campus plans.

Objectives
By the end of the cohort, teams will further understand MTSS / PBIS and how they work in concert to make schools more effective, recognize the purpose of PBIS within each tier: universal, targeted, and intensive, and gather and analyze data to determine the effectiveness of their implementation plan.
