PBIS TEAM Cohort 2026-2027 - 37201
The mission of PBIS is to build schools' capacity by adopting a sustained, positive, preventive, and effective instructional approach to school-wide discipline and behavior management. These sessions will provide an overview of the PBIS framework, behavior, and academic Response to Intervention connections, examine effective PBIS team member roles and responsibilities, and identify leadership implementation next steps. PBIS district and campus teams will focus on using data to identify and create guidelines for success as well as school-wide behavior rules, expectations, and positive reinforcement systems.
Participating teams will be provided the following TIER Network training pathways: MTSS Overview (online pre-work), PBIS, Universal Examples of PBIS, Partnering w/Families within PBIS, Targeted PBIS, Intensive PBIS, Supporting Student Mental Health, Social and Personal Competencies, Creating an MTSS Problem-Solving Team, and ISF Introduction. Teams will also participate in a planning session.

Objectives
By the end of the cohort, teams will understand MTSS / PBIS and how they work in concert to make schools more effective, recognize the purpose of PBIS within each tier: universal, targeted, and intensive, and gather and analyze data to determine how to implement the PBIS framework within a campus/district.
