Connecting Communication and Instruction for Students with Complex Access Needs - 36226
This course explores multiple considerations when developing and using communication aids, implementing strategies for teaching communication skills, and identifying ways to connect communication and instruction. Participants will engage in Assistive Technology station rotations. This training, developed by the Texas Education Agency, aligns with Quality Indicator V: Social Communication on the Rubric of Effective Practices for Students with Significant Cognitive Disabilities, and it aligns with the TEA Special Education Self-Assessment components 2, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 12, and 18.
