Quest: Unpacking Neurodiversity and Autism in Public Education - May 2025 Virtual - 35119

Join Michael Tucker (Region 11), Amber Davies (Region 14), and Jessica Flores (Region 15) as we explore neurodiversity and autism in the school setting. Our special guest for this hour is Jessica Flores. She will be discussing: Behavioral Insights: Skills, Performance, and Motivation Challenges. Challenging behavior is communication, but we have to look at the barriers that our students face to communicate their wants and needs. We will look beyond the behavior, beyond the communication, and try to identify where our students might be struggling in different areas: skills, performance, and motivation. This session is aligned with the Instructional Strategies component(s) of the TEA-required. **This is a virtual PLC format and is a collaboration between ESC Regions 11, 14, and 15 The target audience is educators in Regions 11, 14 and 15**
