Map-Based Teaching Strategies for the U.S. History Classroom with the General Land Office - 35055
Participants will learn how to integrate historical and GIS maps from the Texas General Land Office (GLO) collections into classroom learning with a focus on US History. Those new to teaching, or those who would like to expand their students’ engagement with maps, will especially benefit. Where practicable, maps relevant to Metroplex and the wider region will be showcased.
