PARCs and Recreation: Forging the Needs of Gifted Writers with Short Answer (GT Summit) - 35004
This session is part of the ESC Region 11 GT Summit, a one-day event designed to offer educators a personalized GT Update tailored to their specific needs through engaging and targeted learning experiences. This session counts as 1.5 hours of GT Update credit with a focus on differentiated curriculum and the nature and needs of gifted learners. Address the unique nature and needs of gifted students by SPARKing empathy, self-reflection, and meaningful collaboration in writing. This session highlights how Short Answer promotes perspective-taking, peer feedback, and self-reflection through interactive activities. Learn strategies to cultivate critical thinking, self-regulation, and effective communication, empowering gifted learners to excel as writers while engaging deeply in the process.
