Empowered Readers: The Science Behind Effective Teaching (Satellite Sessions - Hosted Offsite) - 34767

In this session, participants will learn what research says about The Science of Teaching Reading and how that translates into practical application in the classroom. Participants will practice and takeaway strategies to teach phonemic awareness, alphabetic knowledge, decoding, vocabulary, and comprehension in whole-group and small-group settings. We will explore common misconceptions and scientifically sound instructional shifts to improve literacy learning outcomes for all students.
