Quest: Unpacking Neurodiversity and Autism in Public Education - October 2024 Virtual - 34075

Join Michael Tucker (Region 11), Amber Davies (Region 14), and Jessica Flores (Region 15) as we explore neurodiversity and autism in the school setting. Our special guest for this hour is Justin Morton from ESC Region 3. In this hour's presentation, learn how to create an Adapted PE Program tailored for students with Autism. This 1-hour training is designed to equip educators, coaches, and PE professionals with the tools and strategies needed to help every student thrive through physical activity. Explore the sensory, social, and motor challenges students with Autism may face, and how to address them effectively. This session is aligned with the behavior component(s) of the TEA-required self-assessment. **This is a virtual PLC format and is a collaboration between ESC Regions 11, 14, and 15 The target audience is educators in Regions 11, 14 and 15**
