Dyslexia Assessment Essentials: GORT-5 & CTOPP-2 Overview - 33190
In this session, participants will be instructed on how to administer the following assessments that may be used for the evaluation of dyslexia:
- Gray Oral Reading Test, 5th (GORT-5): An Oral Reading Fluency and Comprehension assessment
- Comprehensive Test of Phonological Processing, 2nd (CTOPP-2): A test that measures phonological awareness, phonological memory, and naming
This session is aligned with the Dyslexia and Evaluation components of the TEA-required self-assessment.

Diagnosticians, Dyslexia Interventionist, LSSP (Licensed Specialist in School Psychology), Speech Therapists
Prerequisite/Special Notes
Please bring test kits and a protocol for each of the tests (at least one per district).
Objectives
The participants will become familiar with the administration of assessments that may be used for dyslexia identification.
