Active Learning Through the Eyes of Orientation and Mobility - 33153

This workshop focuses on Active Learning for students with visual impairments and how the Active Learning approach aligns with orientation and mobility. Participants will learn how the brain processes movement, how Active Learning impacts the brain as it processes movement, and how orientation and mobility factors into learning for students with complex access needs and additional visual impairments. The use of Active Learning equipment will be demonstrated in relation to orientation and mobility services. This session addresses Special Education Self-Assessment indicators 6,7,8,12, and 18.
