Dr. Schultz Presents -- Building the Educational Diagnosticians Toolbox: Incorporating Curriculum-Based Measures (CBMs) in the FIE - 32571
This is a hybrid event, so please be sure to select the desired location (ESC Region 11 or Virtual) when registering.
According to TEA Guidance, schools should include curriculum-based measures “to more accurately identify patterns of strengths and weaknesses and link eligibility determinations to instruction.” This session will focus on using CBMs in the FIE process to (a) improve diagnostic precision, (b) anchor norm-referenced data, and (c) develop impact statements. Other tools and strategies will also be included (Dynamic assessment, curriculum sampling, Inventories). Participants will be able to incorporate these practices immediately.
This session is aligned with the evaluation and IEP Content and Development components of the TEA-required self-assessment.
