Understanding and Identifying Dyscalculia and Math Learning Disabilities Virtual - 34618
This virtual session is designed for diagnosticians who seek a deeper understanding of dyscalculia and math learning disabilities. Participants will explore the definition of dyscalculia, review leading theoretical models, and gain insights into how these models inform assessment practices. An evidence-based assessment plan will be presented, emphasizing tools and approaches that provide a comprehensive understanding of a student’s math abilities. By the end of the session, participants will be equipped to identify dyscalculia and other math-related learning disabilities, interpret assessment data effectively, and make informed decisions to support students’ learning needs.
This session is aligned with the evaluation components of the TEA-required self-assessment.
