This session will help participants understand the concept of reinforcement. Reinforcement is one of an educator's most powerful behavior management tools. For example, reinforcement can be used to teach new skills, teach a replacement behavior for an interfering behavior, increase appropriate behaviors, or increase on-task behavior (AFIRM Team, 2015).
