Power Up: Unlocking New Levels in Secondary Literacy Practices - Planning ELAR Units with Interconnected TEKS (Part 1) - 27613
Interconnected, recursive, integrated -- all of these are words that describe the intended nature of the ELAR TEKS. How do we plan effectively, bundling TEKS together, in a way that both honors this idea of interconnectedness while still effectively delivering clear, targeted teaching points? In this session, we will explore the best ways to integrate TEKS from different strands together as well as ways to plan for recursive teaching that helps students transfer and apply their learning throughout the year.
