Utilizing Accommodations in a Secondary Mathematics Classroom - 34307

IDEA mandates that appropriate accommodations be provided for learners with a disability in the least-restrictive environment, typically the general education classroom. Also, those accommodations may be delivered differently, depending on the learner's needs. Adapting how students access instruction through appropriate accommodations ensures that learners with specially designed instruction can progress in the general education curriculum while simultaneously experiencing self-efficacy along the way. This session is aligned with the IEP Content, Development, and Implementation as well as Instructional Strategies components of the TEA-required self-assessment.
