This session guides teachers through the full DBQ process—from engaging students with compelling questions to analyzing primary and secondary sources and writing evidence-based arguments. Participants will experience a DBQ as learners, then shift to the teacher perspective to explore strategies for building content knowledge, literacy, and critical thinking. Teachers will leave with practical tools to increase the use of primary sources, rigor, and higher-order thinking, and authentic writing opportunities in their classrooms.
