Understanding SLD Written Expression and Dysgraphia (Birdville ISD) - 36596

Build a deep understanding of dysgraphia by examining how written expression develops across orthographic, graphomotor, and language/executive-function systems. Participants will learn to distinguish dysgraphia from other written-expression difficulties and identify specific root causes, including orthographic processing, fine motor/graphomotor skills, language formulation, and attention or working memory constraints. The session will include case studies, analysis of writing samples, and hands-on activities. Participants will also develop a practical framework for accurate identification and for creating targeted, meaningful instructional recommendations.
