Literacy in Action: Tools for Processing Complex Texts Across Subjects - 36365
In this dynamic workshop, educators will explore how to integrate literacy skills across the content areas to create an engaging learning environment that supports all learners, including gifted and advanced students. Participants will engage with research-based instructional strategies (RBIS) that bridge the subjects, helping students make meaningful connections between historical contextualization, scientific reasoning, mathematical thinking, and literacy processes. This session demonstrates how cross-curricular planning fosters critical and creative thinking, higher-level reasoning, and analytical skills, empowering teachers to extend and enrich instruction for all students. Join us to gain practical tools and insights for designing learning experiences that inspire curiosity, deepen understanding, and connect literacy skills with content knowledge across disciplines. This session counts as a 6-hour G/T update.
