Unlocking Learning Profiles: Administering and Interpreting the FAM and FAW - 36212

This interactive session equips education professionals with practical skills for administering and interpreting the Feifer Assessment of Mathematics (FAM) and Feifer Assessment of Writing (FAW). Participants will explore how these tools reveal the neuropsychological underpinnings of math and writing performance—connecting cognitive processes such as executive functioning, working memory, and linguistic processing to specific learning patterns. Through guided discussion and applied examples, attendees will learn how to use FAM and FAW data to identify dyscalculia and dysgraphia subtypes and to plan targeted interventions aligned with IDEA and MTSS frameworks. This session is aligned with the evaluation and dyslexia components of the TEA-required self-assessment.
