Pathways to Progress: Navigating the Rubric of Effective Practices for Students with Significant Needs Virtual - 36010
This training, designed for new and novice teachers working with students with low incidence disabilities, significant cognitive disabilities, and/or are medically fragile, will cover the knowledge and skills necessary to support students effectively through completion of the Rubric of Effective Practices courses. These hybrid courses, aligned with the Rubric of Effective Practices for Students with Significant Cognitive Disabilities, highlight best practices for facilitating learning for students with the most complex access needs.
A coaching component, led by subject matter experts, is included to assist educators in confidently applying their learning with fidelity. Coaching offers personalized, job-embedded support based on four research-based practices proven to enhance instruction: building alliances, observation, modeling, and performance feedback.

Objectives
Participants will identify how to organize and set up learning environments to promote optimal academic outcomes, develop classroom schedules and communication strategies tailored to diverse student needs, review and discuss how to align state standards, curriculum, and assessments at the local and state levels, and practice strategies for differentiation and inclusive instruction.
