Trauma-based Counseling Tools for School Personnel - 34475

This session provides school personnel with practical trauma-informed interventions to create supportive, compassionate, and responsive school environments. By shifting from a deficit-focused approach to one that addresses students' needs, participants will learn how to recognize and respond to the effects of trauma on student behavior. Emphasis will be placed on interventions that help meet students' emotional and psychological needs, equipping participants with strategies to promote resilience and a sense of safety within the school community. This session is aligned with the Intervention and Behavior components of the TEA-required self-assessment.
