Participants will learn about the versatile uses of sand tray in individual and group settings, including the prescriptive use of prompts, group and collaborative sand trays, and dynamic approaches. Through hands-on activities and case examples, attendees will discover how sand tray therapy can support emotional expression, foster connection, and encourage problem-solving in children and adolescents. This session is ideal for counselors and therapists interested in incorporating creative, non-verbal therapeutic tools into their practice. This session aligns with the Intervention, Instructional Strategies, and Behavior components of the TEA-required self-assessment.

Objectives
By the end of this session, participants will be able to describe at least three therapeutic benefits of sand tray work and explain how it supports emotional expression and development. Participants will be also be able to demonstrate the use of prescriptive prompts within a sand tray setting, identifying scenarios where this technique is most effective.
