This session is designed for educational diagnosticians and special education professionals seeking to enhance their assessment practices for dysgraphia. Participants will explore a variety of formal and informal assessment tools, gaining insights into their appropriate applications and limitations. The session will include hands-on activities where attendees can practice administering specific assessment tools and interpreting the results. By the end of the session, participants will be better equipped to choose and implement effective assessment strategies to identify and support students with dysgraphia.This session is aligned with the evaluation components of the TEA-required self-assessment.

This is part four of a four part series on dysgraphia. It is not required to attend all four sessions.
Objectives
Participants will review three formal assessment tools for dysgraphia, discuss their purposes and strengths in different educational contexts, explore two informal assessment methods and learn how to integrate them into the evaluation process for dysgraphia, and practice interpreting assessment data from formal and informal tools to create tailored recommendations for supporting students with dysgraphia.
