Developing Research and Information Fluency with the new Tech Apps TEKS: Grades 4-8 - 33256
This workshop is designed to deepen Grades 4-8 student competencies in research, information, and data fluency. In this 3-hour professional development session, educators will explore advanced strategies and digital tools to teach students how to effectively gather, evaluate, and utilize diverse forms of information. The workshop will cover advanced search techniques, critical evaluation of sources, and sophisticated methods of data analysis and presentation using digital tools. Interactive activities will encourage teachers to develop lesson plans that integrate these skills across various subjects, enhancing students' ability to conduct independent research projects. By focusing on critical thinking, information use, and creative data storytelling, the workshop aims to equip students with the necessary skills to excel in a data-driven world.
