ESSA Equity Plan Toolkit Training - 32885

Districts with specific equity gaps will receive notification from TEA of the district's requirement to submit new equity plans for 2023-2024. ESC Region 11 Equity Plan Toolkit Training will be anchored in tools and the process outlined in the Texas Equity Plan Toolkit website. Participants will be guided through each component of the new Equity Plan template and the equity planning process to create plans describing how the LEAs will decrease gaps related to identified student subgroups. Notified districts are encouraged to attend this training along with other districts that would like to gain knowledge in equity planning.

Objectives
Participants will understand the equity planning process and how equity gaps are calculated. Participants will create a plan to address the equity gaps through teacher recruitment, assignment, retention, and support. Participants will analyze available resources to support the development of the equity plan.
