PBIS TEAM Cohort 2024-2025 - 32513
The mission of PBIS is to build the capacity of schools by adopting a sustained, positive, preventative, and effective instructional approach to school-wide discipline and behavior management. These sessions will provide an overview of the PBIS framework, behavior and academic Response to Intervention connections, examine effective PBIS team member roles and responsibilities, and identify leadership implementation next steps. PBIS district and campus teams will focus on using data to identify and create guidelines for success as well as school-wide behavior rules, expectations, and positive reinforcement systems.
Participating teams will be provided the following TIER Network training pathways: PBIS, Universal Examples of PBIS, Targeted PBIS, Intensive PBIS, and Crating an MTSS Problem Solving Team.

Objectives
1.Discuss the impact of problem behaviors on educational outcomes
2.Explain the role of PBIS within a multi-tiered system of support (MTSS) framework
3.Define what PBIS is and what PBIS is not
4.Identify the five elements of PBIS and how they work in concert to make schools more effective
5.Scrutinize the purpose of PBIS within each tier: universal, targeted, and intensive
6.Gather and analyze data to determine how to implement the PBIS framework within a campus/district
