Fentanyl Education and Awareness Training - 34983

This training equips school staff with essential knowledge and skills to recognize and respond to fentanyl contamination and opioid overdoses in the school setting. Participants will learn about the dangers of fentanyl exposure, how to identify the signs of an opioid overdose, and the steps for safely administering Narcan (naloxone). Through interactive scenarios and practical demonstrations, staff will gain confidence in managing potential emergencies and safeguarding student and staff health. This course is designed to empower educators, administrators, and support personnel with life-saving information and procedures critical in today's educational environments. Through interactive discussions and scenario-based learning, school personnel will gain confidence in taking life-saving actions to protect students and staff.

Objectives

Participants will learn to: • Identify the signs and symptoms of an opioid-related overdose. • Administer an opioid antagonist (e.g., naloxone/Narcan). • Implement emergency procedures when responding to an overdose. • Properly store and dispose of opioid antagonists.
