"Make Stuff and Love People - Assistive Technology Solutions in Minutes" a Hands-on Workshop with Therese Willkomm - 32349
This hands-on workshop will discuss, demonstrate, and develop skills in using various low-cost tools and materials for making hundreds of AT solutions. Participants will learn and use the “…able” principles to fabricate 10 multi use devices for students with physical, sensory, or cognitive impairments. In addition, each participant will receive a copy of “Make Stuff and Love People - Assistive Technology Solutions in Minutes - Book 3“ a comprehensive how-to book on making assistive technology.
This session is aligned with the Instructional Strategies components of the TEA-required self-assessment.

Objectives
Participants will be able to:
1. Identify over 50 solutions that can be made in five minutes or less to accommodate for specific impairments related to performing specific tasks.
2. Identify over 25 different tools, materials, and resources for rapid device creation.
3. Develop making skills and fabricate 10 different multi use devices.
