Secondary ELAR Literacy Strategies Series Virtual - 31752
This comprehensive and engaging asynchronous course is designed specifically for secondary English Language Arts and Reading (ELAR) teachers.
In this course, participants will delve into a variety of effective literacy strategies that empower teachers to enhance their instructional practices and foster a love for reading and writing among their students. This series will include titles such as formative assessments, close reading, mentor texts, tiered questioning, annotations, small-group instruction, modeled think-alouds, and building background knowledge. Participants will develop a deep understanding of how to create a supportive and engaging learning environment for their students.
This asynchronous course contains 11 modules and one reflection deliverable. Participants will have from August 21 through December 1 to complete all assignments. Credit will be offered after the December 1 close date. This course will be housed in Google Classroom, and the code will be emailed to all participants on August 21 or within 48 hours of their enrollment date.
